You Don't Have to be Perfect

You don't have to be perfect, by any means. You just have to know the game, speak the language, know when and when not to speak your mind. You have to look the part, can't be fat or to thin with out being called obese or anorexic. If you're smart you get called a nerd, you're a little slower you get called stupid, and if you're average, well that's nothing special.
Fact, people want you to be perfect. Here's the truth, perfect is in the eye of the beholder. So an employer, a friend, a significant other, already has the image/idea of a perfect person to suite that position, or place in their life before even meeting you. So your job, is to find out what it is people want, and give it to them. Unfortunately that's how most people succeed today, giving in to people ideals and needs.
It is tricky, people do want you to be a certain way. Society and each individual within, wants you to be perfect. Talk about pressure. The power to overcome this ideal image/idea and attitudes that a perfect person contains, makes you unstoppable, and the most confident person on this planet. Take that idea of a perfect person and wear clothes that you thought you could not, or challenge yourself to a book that you would have never thought to read, make yourself a perfect person by adding a drop of confidence.
So they say you don't have to be perfect, so I say you have to wear confidence to appear perfect.

Age is Beauty

When looking at my grandmother, I can't help be see that the older you get, the more beautiful you get. People are scared of growing old, and scared of wrinkles. Wrinkles? Of all the things to be scared of.
People are finding themselves attracted to plastic surgery, but that takes away your age. Okay, it's understandable wanting to take a few years off, but your age shows your experience. Experience that gives a person an edge in the world. This edge can only be shown through life experiences.
In today's work force, people are becoming discriminated against because of there age. Well, people who are older may not understand new technologies, but they've experienced some amazing things. Some have lived through the great depression, have fought over seas, been alive for the assassination of a president, along with some other life altering experiences.
Being old is knowing the difference between a crush, and knowing your true love. It's knowing who can be a great leader, and who will take us in the wrong direction. It's understanding that things change, people change and life doesn't always turn out the way you want it to.
So they say "age is beauty," so I say, "age is drop dead gorgeous."

A Friend is What the Heart Needs

Hands down, best statement ever. A friend is someone you rely on, trust in, love and laugh with. Having a friend can take away tension, and make a situation that you see as having no solution, having a perfect solution. Whether your friend is your mom, dad, or someone you met in first grade, they are the person that gives you relief from reality.
Each one of us has had one of those days when you feel torn down by life, but the one thing that makes those days turn out to be so wonderful, is a friend. Someone you can talk to because you know they'll listen. A friend is the one person who will make you find the positive side of a negative. They are the ones who take you out dancing after a bad break up, or will sit watching a Disney money with you, even at the age of 22.
Friends can be the ones who push you to do better; they are your optimism when you feel like crumbling. This might seem like a lot for a friend to do, but when you really care about someone enough, you'd doing anything to make sure they were happy. Let's face it we all want to be happy, and a friend is just the answer.
So they say, "A friend is what the heart needs," so I say too.

Do Unto Others As You Would Want Done Unto You

Anyone who has been to preschool or kindergarten knows this rule. Here's a fact, not everyone follows this rule, in fact most people forget about this rule in their daily lives.
Truth is everyone needs some act of kindness everyday. If people could live their lives by this simple rule, in general I believe peoples days will seem better. People may feel that it's easier to trust one another. Not only that but people will be happier and live life respecting themselves and one another.
It's quiet bothersome that people lose sight of this simple rule. It's a cycle, one person hurts or damages someone, so when they do it to someone else it's their way of justifying what was done to them.
Everyone makes mistakes and can become greedy and selfish. It's not wrong to want things to go right for you, but is it so hard to treat people with respect. The answer should be no, just place yourself in that persons shoes. Treat people the way they should be treated and your life can have some fulfillment.
So they says "do unto others as you would want done unto you" and I agree, just hopefully people start doing it.

Study the Material and You'll Do Well

This could be true for anything. If you've got a big presentation and you don't review what you need to say, it could make or break a client. Or if you've got a huge test, and you don't study, how could you possibly succeed.
Well, actually this isn't always true. When giving a presentation pitch to a client, you could give all the right information, and still not get the deal. Sometimes people have their minds predetermined, or it's just not what the need for their business. So how do you fix it?
You need to be quick on your feet and create another option for your client. In today's economy people are wanting money saver ideas that will help promote and create a profit for their business. So now's the time to think outside the box.
As for a test in school, you need to know the material to pass that class. You can't cheat or create your answers on a multiple choice test. It's either right or wrong, but in the real world, it's not so black and white.
So they say "study the material and you'll do well," but I say "Study all options and your success will be higher."

Never Give Up

"Never give up."
We have these inspirational stories that come from people who are at the bottom of the pile, yet manage to overcome adversity and accomplish something great. When you look at some famous people, you see that some of them have never finished college, or had an awful life growing up, but still managed to succeed. How is this possible?
When a person really wants something out of life, I truly believe that it is possible for that person to get what they want. Our lives are a result of choices we make. If you're not getting the results that you want, for a job, class assignment, or even self happiness, just remember you can change your life at any moment.
It's sad to see people stuck in a rut, and feel as if they can't get out of it. Just a little will power and self motivation can give you the ability to pick yourself up and accomplish anything you want. We all fall, we all fail, just remember that in the end you can succeed, it's your life and if you want it badly enough, you can have anything.
So they say, "Never give up," but I say, "Never give up if you fail, if you want it, you can have it."

Blogging is Great for a Career in PR

Blogging is a great idea for a career in Public Relations. Public Relations, what's that you might ask? Well here's a brief description of what PR is, it's the basic idea of exposing and promoting specific information in regards to a company, person, idea, product or service. It's kind of like advertising, but Public Relations works more closely with the general public. You know those fancy events that companies may have? Well chances are someone in the field of Public Relations is behind it.
So why is blogging so important for someone in the field. It's extremely important because it allows for them to connect personally with everyday people. Blogging gives PR professionals the ability to make themselves personal with each individual. If you were working for a company that was all about Go Green, you might start a blog that promotes reusable grocery bags, and the energy saving lights. It can be specific to the general idea or product as well.
So the say blogging is great for a career in PR, so I say too.
